Singapore – LCCIIQ-MYOB Holiday Enrichment Programme
There are more than 350 secondary school students utilised their "time-off" during March 2010 school holiday attending the 20 hours LCCI-MYOB Computerised Accounting Enrichment courses. This programme enhances student ability in handling business scenario transactions such as create of company profile, set up of accounting code, capturing sales and purchases transaction, recording expenses and bank reconciliation as well as month/year end adjustments such as prepayment, accrual and depreciation. The programme also highlights the data transaction flow and its cor-relationship towards the formation of financial reports to meet the expectation by most SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) nowadays.

China - LCCIIQ, Guangzhou Education Bureau & CIIC
LCCIIQ had signed "Cooperation Agreement" between LCCI, China International Intellectech Corporation (CIIC) and Guangzhou Education Bureau (GEB). CIIC will adopt LCCI assessment to develop and screen talents for contact center companies.

Sri Lanka – Train The Trainers
LCCIIQ train the trainers for Travel & Tourism Workshop. Supported by Sri Lanka Ministry of Tourism, LCCI Sri Lanka office has successfully coordinated a train-the-trainer event on 25th and 26th February 2010 to 35 trainers from Kandy and Colombo. The training mainly focused on the pedagogy sharing on how to conduct an effective training on Travel and Tourism subject. Presented by Mr. Leslie Sim, AEC Principal-Hospitality, and Tourism & Retail.

Indonesia – LCCIIQ visit Jakarta Education Expo
LCCIIQ have visited the Jakarta Education Exhibition where we think it was a good avenue for us to understand the major players and how LCCIIQ able to position within this competitive market segments. Sri Lanka - 15,000 Scholarships for LCCIIQ tourism students in Sri Lanka
The Ministry of Tourism last week entered into an agreement with LCCI International qualification to provide training to 15,000 youth on the subject of travel and tourism.
The agreement signed between the Secretary to the Tourism Ministry, George Michael and the Chief Operating Officer of LCCI, Asia Region, Mark Disney, promises 15,000 scholarships over the next five years to Sri Lankan youth. The scholarship will cover the tuition fees for the travel and tourism component.

Malaysia – LCCI Asia Launch new KL Regional Office
London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) is opening its new office in Kuala Lumpur on 16th November 2009. The new regional hub will handle LCCI International Qualifications across 24 countries. Launched by the British High Commissioner, HE Boyd McCleary and attended by the British Council Director, Mandy Johnson, Directors from EDI in the UK, reps from the Ministry of Education, and reps from LCCI's major Klang Valley centers, the opening of this office is an excellent demonstration of the UK-Malaysia educational partnership. LCCI has been in Malaysia for more than 70 years, in Asia for over 100 and the relocation of the regional hub from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur marks another milestone for the firm.
