Mr Patil spoke strongly about the need for the local workforce to be educated to international standards and welcomed LCCI to Maharasthra.

Sean Leslie, LCCI Managing Director for Asia, thanked Mr Patil for his encouragement and commented: “Our first international exams outside the UK were in Mumbai in 1898 so in a sense we are coming home.

With a population of some 100 million and a fast–growing and dynamic economy Maharasthra is the ideal state to act as the launch pad for LCCI’s planned expansion across the sub-continent.” Prior to the launch, LCCI has successful conducted teachers’ training for English For Business in both cities with participation of 42 lecturers, principals and professors.
