of the first exam. The following subjects

Introductory Certificate
in Book-keeping
The Introductory Certificate in Book-keeping
tests candidates´ knowledge of basic book-keeping
terminologies and concepts as well as their knowledge
and skills in preparing and recording source documents.
It also tests their knowledge and understanding
of general financial concepts and documents.

Book-Keeping, Book-Keeping
and Accounts : Levels 1- 2
You will learn the basic principles underlying
the recording of financial transactions. You will
also learn to prepare and interpret accounts for
various types of organisations and businesses.
Accounting, Financial
Accounting : Levels 3 - 4
Candidates are required to prepare financial
accounting statements with relevant accounting
standards and accepted accounting principles,
including statements arising from company reconstructions
and amalgamations.
Computerised Accounting
: Levels 2 - 3
Jointly developed with MYOB Asia, an international
business management software company, these qualifications
are ideal for accounting executives who need to
update their accounting skills or for students
entering the job market.

Cost Accounting
: Levels 2 - 3
These qualifications are appropriate for those
who are intending to work in an accounting environment
at a level that requires cost accounting knowledge
and skill as well as an understanding of cost
accounting principles and practices in a variety
of business settings.
Management Accounting
: Level 3
This qualification is appropriate for managers
who require reliable accounting data to forecast
and control day-to-day activity. Candidates require
an understanding of short-term cost behaviour
and of using accounting information in the decision-making
process.
Business Calculations
: Levels 1 - 3
This qualification gives candidates a broad knowledge
and understanding of advanced business calculations
as
used in a business environment. Candidates are
required to solve a variety of problems associated
with
all financial aspects of business, including:
investment
appraisal, business ownership profitability and
liquidity.
Business Statistics
: Levels 2 - 3
These qualifications test a candidate’s
knowledge and
understanding of statistical techniques, including
the
collection and presentation of data. Candidates
are
required to use the appropriate formulae to solve
business problems.
